“The impact of smart electrification of end-use sectors” is the policy session at FlexCon2024.
IRENA will unveil its latest report on the quantified benefits of flexible activations of buildings, notably to solve congestion challenges that DSOs are currently facing in the increasing electrification reality and to reduce electricity costs for households.
A panel discussion will follow with senior representatives from DSOs, TSOs and European institutions to exchange on optimal smart electrification strategies, harmonized methodologies and relevant regulatory requirements to allow end users to flexibly adjust their consumption and on-site generation patterns, benefiting both energy systems and themselves.
