At CSEM, we have developed three technologies designed to optimize energy system
flexibility across various scenarios. These technologies fall into two main categories: closed-
loop control and event-based control.
Closed-loop control technologies provide a robust and consistent optimization framework. We
will delve into the capabilities of our advanced local energy management system,
NRGMaestro, which ensures seamless energy management for self-consumption, cost
optimisation,
and extends its benefits to energy communities and flexibility services. Additionally, we will
showcase our dynamic EV pool controller, designed to alleviate grid congestion by limiting the
power at the substations and enabling the participation in ancillary
services.
On the other hand, our event-based dispatch leverages precise flexibility forecasts to provide
a non-intrusive control to maximize self-consumption, reduce peaks, or minimize costs. This
approach exploits the demand-side flexibility of different types of assets
without disrupting daily operations, making it ideal for both residential and industrial
applications. The solution accounts for and manages the uncertainty of the system, ensuring
a robust estimation and activation of demand-side flexibility.
