This presentation intends to give an overview of the lessons learned from 700MW Virtual Power Plant (VPP) deployment across 200,000 sites and 1.5 million connected appliances by Voltalis while highlighting best practices based on successful pilots before discussing how technology is critical for enabling large-scale flexibility capacity construction and the challenges that lie ahead.

This will present the findings of a piece of work from Energy Systems Catapult on enabling distributed flexibility to support the transition to, and delivery of a Net Zero energy system.
