Carlos Patrão is a Product Manager at Cleanwatts that for the past 18 years has been working as a researcher, consultant, project and product manager in the fields of energy sustainability, energy efficiency and renewable energies. He is currently a member of Cleanwatts' Product Management team, where he oversees the Home Energy Management Systems, Smart EV Charging and Flexibility solutions.

He has participated in multiple European and international Innovation Projects to enhance energy efficiency in the residential, industrial, and building sectors as a partner or coordinator. He was the project manager of the FleXunity H2020 project, in which Cleanwatts developed, tested, and validated in real world pilot implementations a Virtual Power Plant (VPP) platform solution equipped with AI algorithms and secure transaction mechanisms, conducting a hardware-in-the-loop simulation of the participation of small aggregated energy assets on flexibility services provision.
