System planning engineer, Product Owner
Paul Friedrich Zelle, M.Sc. is a mechanical and power engineering graduate from RWTH Aachen University. Since 2024, he has been pursuing a PhD at TransnetBW in collaboration with TU Berlin, under the supervision of Prof. Tom Brown. His research contributes to the CETPartnership project RESILIENT, focusing on energy system planning under uncertainty using the open-source model PyPSA-Eur. In addition to his academic work, Paul has the role of Product Owner of PyPSA-TSO, a collaborative modeling initiative between TransnetBW and APG that extends PyPSA for transmission system operators.
