Director of External Affairs
Izzy Woolgar is Director of External Affairs at Centre for Net Zero (CNZ), a non-profit energy research and AI institute spearheading the transition to a sustainable global energy grid. Founded by Octopus Energy, but operating autonomously, CNZ forecasts the future of energy usage for the benefit of governments, policymakers and grid operators. Izzy uses CNZ’s research, data and models to drive evidence-based policy-making, accurate forecasting and the accelerated decarbonisation of global energy systems.
A specialist in strategic communications, she has advised several global tech and energy blue chips – including Centrica and bp’s corporate venturing teams, helping build investment pipelines and profile global green tech portfolios. Izzy holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Cambridge.
