Software Engineer
Dirk-Jan Faber is a Software Engineer at Victron Energy, where he has spent over four years pioneering energy flexibility solutions through smart energy management systems. As technical lead and project manager for Victron’s Dynamic ESS platform, Dirk-Jan has successfully deployed intelligent battery optimisation technology to over 5,000 users across 20 countries.
Currently, Dirk-Jan is working on Victron’s strategic integration of the S2 standard as a communication layer for their energy devices. This initiative positions Victron’s battery and energy management systems to seamlessly participate in standardised flexibility markets and demand response programs, enabling enhanced interoperability across the European energy ecosystem.
