Anne van der Molen

Senior Advisor

Anne van der Molen is senior advisor at Dutch DSO Stedin, vice chair technology and knowledge sharing (T&KS) at E.DSO and has a part-time position as researcher at the Intelligent Energy Systems group of TU Eindhoven. His fields of expertise are smart grids, congestion management & flexibility and technology strategy and is engaged with Stedin’s strategic programs in that area as well as (inter)national development programs on power system flexibility and – digitalization.

Anne is also the consortium lead of the ORKEST consortium – an innovation program where 15 companies (grid users, tech companies, grid operators and research institutes) develop design, develop and use solutions that integrate flexibility, asset management and network intelligence

Phase to Phase develops high-end software for simulating, visualizing and calculating electricity grids. All Dutch electricity grid operators – and a large part of the energy-intensive industry in the Netherlands – employ Phase to Phase’s ‘digital twins’ as the go-to solution for the design, maintenance, and operation of their
grids. Phase to Phase dedicates significant resources to innovative collaboration and knowledge sharing within the energy sector, exemplified with the book ‘Networks for Electricity Distribution’, which is a reference standard in the Dutch energy sector.

Phase to Phase participates in ORKEST, a consortium with Stedin, Netbeheer Nederland, DNV, TU Eindhoven, and Technolution, cooperating on the development of the flexible, future-proof electricity grids.
